No photo. Just history. Dr. Martin Luther King visited Scarsdale to speak at a Lenten Service at Scarsdale Community Baptist Church on March 31, 1960. Reverend Dr. M. Forest Ashbrook of Edgemont, acting in his capacity as a deacon of the Church, was responsible for arranging the visit. They were both active in pacifist causes, and Dr. Ashbrook was able to make a connection to Dr. King through their shared circles. The church on Popham Road was overflowing with attendees.
