The Scarsdale Historical Society’s new documentary traces the untapped history of Quaker Ridge: its Quaker legacy, leading abolitionists, hidden stories and transformation to a modern Scarsdale community.

Interviews include Westchester historians, Barbara Shay MacDonald, Barbara Davis, Jordan Copeland and Patrick Raftery. Produced by the Scarsdale Historical Society. Directed by Lesley Topping.

Time: Tuesday, April 19th at 7:00pm
Place: Quaker Ridge Elementary School Auditorium at 125 Weaver St, Scarsdale, NY 10583

A Scarsdale-made quilt that was lost for 50 years. Where was it found? Where had it been? Find out at the details at the The Scarsdale Woman’s Club on 5/8 at 2:00 PM at 37 Drake Road. The quilt was made by the Scarsdale Woman’s Club in 1976 and depicts the story of a local Revolutionary War landmark, the Odell House in Greenburgh. Susan Seal, President of the Friends of Odell House Rochambeau Headquarters will display the quilt, share the story of its journey, and tell stories of women from the Odell House’s rich history.
