Scarsdale Historical Society Grants

The Scarsdale Historical Society will consider grant applications from individuals or organizations for projects that meet its mission statement:

The Scarsdale Historical Society exists to discover, preserve and disseminate historical information, as well as inspire others to learn about and contribute to the history of Scarsdale and the Central Mid-Westchester Region.

Information Required

  1. Contact information for the principal person applying for the grant.

  2. A brief description of the organization (if any) applying for the grant.

  3. A narrative statement describing the project that you are proposing for the grant and how it fits within the mission of the Scarsdale Historical Society.

  4. A timeline for the project including starting and completion dates for the fundraising and the project.

  5. A budget for your project identifying all sources of income, whether planned or committed.  Please separately show the amount of funding sought from the Scarsdale Historical Society.  Summarize how all funds are expected to be spent.

  6. Your plans to administer, maintain or sustain the project after current fundraising is completed. 

  7. Please specify whether there is an opportunity for the Scarsdale Historical Society to share any output from, collaborate with, or provide any non-monetary support to, the project (e.g. ability to link to the project via its website or have a program in Scarsdale)

  8. Any other information you think the Scarsdale Historical Society should have regarding the grant proposal.
